Microsic, an engineering company based in Rome, is devoted to the development, design and construction of machinery and production systems for the photovoltaic industry.
Microsic projects include the development of machinery for the whole sector, with particular regard to the process of formation of polycrystalline silicon and the subsequent process of cutting the wafers to be processed into photovoltaic cells.
For the casting stage, it provides:
- Ovens for the crystallization of silicon;
- Saws for cutting wafers;
- Complement machinery.
For the following stage, it provides:
- Sintering furnaces;
- Diffusion furnaces for orthophosphoric acid (Doper);
- Firing furnaces.
Some of the systems designed by Microsic are employed by companies operating in the same sector both in Italy and abroad.
Company History
Founded in 1991, Microsic started its activity in the military field focusing on the design and construction of devices for microwave communication systems and air traffic control radar systems.
The remarkable experience and know-how accumulated over the years allow Microsic to be acknowledged and appreciated by customers operating in both the Defense sector (e.g. Selex SI, Selex Communications) and the Civil Industrial sector (e.g. ACEA S.p.A, benefiting from the company’s remote control systems).
Since 2005, Microsic has been devoting its expertise to the development of technologies aiming to promote the maximum use of renewable energy sources, to help find more energy-efficient, money-saving and low environmental impact solutions.
